A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that returns those results. Norwood Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches on its own servers. A message sent to us contains only what the sender provides and is used to respond.
Technical Information Collected
Hosting services produce routine logs, such as an IP address, browser type, page request, and time. We review this at an aggregate level to maintain the service and understand general page use. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and, where relevant, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
That limited information supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and page improvements. We neither sell visitor lists nor create individual visitor profiles.
Links to Other Websites
Links lead to county and state portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search services. The recipient site's own privacy policy controls information submitted there, including information submitted through sponsored-result tools.
Who Might See Your Data
Hosting and support providers process the technical logs on our behalf. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Disclosure occurs only when valid legal process requires it.
How We Protect Your Data
The service uses an encrypted connection and retains logs only as long as needed for the stated purposes. No user accounts exist here, so there is no visitor password or account profile held by Norwood Residents Directory.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Depending on where they live, visitors may have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data retained by a website. Massachusetts safeguards certain personal information under 201 CMR 17.00 and M.G.L. c. 93H. Because this reference retains very little, a request generally involves checking the contact mailbox and server logs, then removing material that can be removed. Use the Contact page.
